Solstice is an ensemble comprising some of the foremost bandleaders and composers emerging from the thriving East London music scene. Having toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe with their own projects and artists as diverse as Kenny Wheeler, Tim Garland, Andy Sheppard, David Binney, Django
Bates, Jasper Hoiby and Ivo Neame, this new group was conceived as an opportunity to explore the compositional possibilities inherent in a larger ensemble. The group have a unified sound drawing on influences from Brazil, New York, and France whilst retaining a uniquely British identity. Their debut album 'Alimentation', launched at the end of 2016 on Two Rivers Records is accompanied by a 20-date UK and European tour in 2017.
